We reflected upon the balance of forces and the
interrelation between ecologies. This interactive installation invited the
audience to step in and become part of a system. Mankind strives to control
everything, but how can we be sure of being in the driving seat when sometimes
it seems like we are the ones being driven? The installation was a group
effort, so you had to find collaborators for finding out what is going on.
Nobody can reach out in eight directions at once, except for an Octopus maybe.
BRAINSTROMING
Lab9 v1.2 is the further exploration and
research of the previous work “Catcha”. The common topic is to explore the relationship
between human and machine and how technology affect our everyday life. The rapid progress affects many perspectives of our live. Technology is
often not visible but always there. Today everything is data even if we expect
it or not. Technology is a part of our system as same as we are. Human beings
strive for getting the control about everything. But where do we influence the
system and on the other hand what happens the opposite?
ANIMATION OF 8 STAGES
SHOWCASE
With our interactive installation we would
like to make the mostly hidden process of data visible. Each participants can trigger
different sound and animation by putting their finger on the cloumn. We
still have the opportunity to change because we are also part of it. By
consciously handling the data and learning more about it, we will be the master
of big data.
